Though the Institute has on its high priority, the Industry Interaction for ultimate student development, in reality the Industry will only be furthering their own interests as the students ultimately are absorbed by them in their Organizations.

Following are some of the activities initiated by the Institute during 2003-04, towards better Student-Industry Interaction.

To co-ordinate with several industries for providing opportunities for meaningful summer placement, by communicating on the fact that, it is the Industry's share of contribution in developing future managers for the country.

Faculties of the Institute work jointly with Industry in developing meaningful project work for the students.

To facilitate students, to get In-plant training opportunities, as part of their summer project assignments, in leading industries/business houses. Also the institute is continuously emphasis upon the industry to evaluate students for possible permanent absorption.

To ensure at least TWO industrial visits are organized, during one academic year, to enable the students and faculty to have better interaction with business organizations, so as to have first-hand learning and knowledge on the practices followed in industry/business.

Through the process of inviting guest lectures, workshops and by bringing in role model company executives, the Institute has laid a solid foundation for the students in their business careers.

An independent Placement-wing, headed as its coordinator by a senior faculty

(With over 20 years of Industry experience), with members drawn from faculty and students, is already in place. The structure of the committee is enclosed in annexure.

The activities initiated by the wing are as under:

To prepare a proper placement-brochure, highlighting the activities, infrastructure facilities provided, academic performance record, detailed profile of the students etc., of the institute.
To be in regular touch with Industry to facilitate periodical guest lectures, students in-plant training- as part of summer project assignments, students placement opportunities etc.,
To co-ordinate with Industry, so as to enable periodical Industry visit which help students' first-hand learning objectives.
To invite leading consultants and Industry icons, to conduct workshops, seminars at the campus, which in turn enable students to gain valuable inputs, necessary for their career in business.
